Tidepool Tours and Citizen Science Fun

CoastWatch is hosting a variety of activities at the Otter Rock Marine Reserve, north of Newport, Oregon.

Learn about the Marine Reserve, tour the tide pools and participate in citizen science activities. Become part of the Community Science Team. All events, except for the BioBlitz training, will begin on the north side of Devil’s Punchbowl. Look for Fawn, wearing the bright orange rain pants.

Friday, May 18, 2018: Citizen Science at Otter Rock from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Friday, June 15, 2018: Celebrating World Oceans Day from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Friday, July 13, 2018: BioBlitz Introduction and Training, Beverly Beach State Park, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 14, 2018: BioBlitz from 8:00 to 12:00 noon

Sunday, August 12, 2018: BioBlitz from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday, September 12, 2018: BioBlitz from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
