There are several new STEM Professional Development opportunities for educators coming up on the coast! Registration information is at the bottom of the page.

January 6, 2018: Watershed Monitoring & Habitat Restoration Workshop in Rockaway Beach. For grade 6-12 educators. Engage in hands-on activities from Streamwebs and the Oregon Coast Education Program, and explore locally-available educational materials that can be checked out and used with students. This is part of the MWEEs By the Sea series. Stipend included.

January 13, 2018: Introduction to ROVS in Coos Bay. For Grade 5 to College educators. In this free, hands-on workshop, learn to build remotely operated vehicles with students. Materials included.

January 20, 2018: Marine Debris Workshop in Newport. For grade 6-12 educators. Engage in hands-on activities from the Marine Debris STEAMSS curriculum developed for the Oregon Coast, and explore locally-available educational materials that can be checked out and used with students. This is part of the MWEEs By the Sea series.

January 27, 2018: Marine Debris Workshop in Astoria. For Grade 3-8 educators. Engage in hands-on activities from the Marine Debris STEAMSS curriculum developed for the Oregon Coast, and explore locally-available educational materials that can be checked out and used with students. This is part of the MWEEs By the Sea series. Stipend included.

January 31 to March 7, 2018: Picture Perfect STEM. This five week online course is for K-6 educators. Learn how to teach STEM and reading using picture books. This course is FREE to educators from Oregon Coast STEM Hub partner districts; download and send in the paper form. Graduate credits available at your own cost.
