Spend a day with renowned wildlife photographer Jaymi Heimbuch, naturalist Leslie Palotas, and marine researcher Renee Albertson.

The event will take place on May 5, 2018, at the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

About the Workshop

Jaymi Heimbuch is a professional wildlife photographer, founder of The Urban Coyote Initiative, and author of the award-winning book The Ethiopian Wolf: Hope at the Edge of Extinction.

This FREE workshop is for girls ages 13-18.You will get a photography lesson, insight into Reneeā€™s harbor seal research, a picnic lunch, and the opportunity to take photos of harbor seals, tide pool creatures, common murres, and peregrine falcons.

How Do I Apply?

Complete a short questionnaire describing your interest in photography and career goals. If selected you must have access to your own equipment (camera, smartphone, tablet). 15 girls will be chosen to participate in the workshop. 2 spaces are for low-income applicants who will be provided with transportation and camera equipment for the day at no cost.
