Grants Pass is one of the larger towns in southern Oregon and the seat for Josephine County. Located in the Rogue River Valley near the intersection of Interstate 5 and the Rogue River, it is a popular playground for outdoor enthusiasts, especially those who enjoy boating, kayaking and white-water rafting. Like many inland areas, Grants Pass is sheltered from extreme weather conditions by the Klamath Range Mountains to the west which separates it from the coast. As a result, the city and surrounding areas benefit from mild winters and warm summers.
